White head with no lacing. Smells like green apples. Taste like green apple with no carbonation, malts, hops, but some water. Ha! Not that good.

25th May 2015: shared a draught one with the wife in the Irvine Yard House. looked fine, golden with a full head of smooth foam. Creamy and smooth feel to the brew, but very little aroma or taste: some hops maybe but not much of anything. Only bought it for the rate to be honest: It is one of the most higly rated beers I had not drank until today. I do remember the original Boddingtons Bitter from Strangeways, Manchester, this is nothing like that old cask brew.

On nitro. Pours a medium yellow with a nice white head. A very mellow, mild beer. Not a lot of flavors, but a good bet to sit and have a few of.

Can with nitro widget poured into a pint mug. Pours a clear gold with a small creamy tan head and decent lacing. Aroma of caramel, pale malt and light brown bread. Taste of caramel, pale malt, light brown bread, fruit, and a hint of floral hops. Overall: nice smooth beer but nothing extraordinary.

A Nice bitter. Good aroma and great color. Very nice crown and an above average balanced taste.

DocJitsu (1180) - Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2015
Pours a clear copper-golden color with a smooth, long-lasting white head. Slight green grape, mild banana, and faint toasted malt on the nose. Flat mouthfeel. Flavors approximate the nose, though toasted malt is more prominent. This is awful.

Dark and smooth and cold. Nice that it comes out of a can. Light white head. Nice look with distinct aroma and great taste.

I had this several months ago on a cruise. It did have a creamy texture. Is has a caramel aroma with some sweetness.

Thin and watery concoction with that characteristic creamy smoothness. Low on aromas and flavors and quite metallic. Not impressive.

On draft, this so-called "pub ale" is an interesting English style pale ale, lighter than I expected but features the nitro smoothness of a Guinness. Thus features a good creamy texture and copper appearance, creamy head with full retention throughout the pint, smells weak of caramel malt. Taste is likewise weak, slightly earthy hops, some caramel malt. Drinkable, light, pleasant, however something macro-ish about it, but enjoyable as a table beer. There are much better English ales out there.
