dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA Mar 6, 2009 Updated: Mar 16, 2009Pours a golden brown with a very thick creamy head. Faint aroma. Very malty non-carbonated taste leaves a lot to be desired. jamvin23 (162), chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 26, 2009 Draft. Pours yellow with a thick creamy white head. Aroma: light fruit and grass Flavor: light, noncarbonated, light hops, and watery. TerenceHua (87), , Singapore Feb 26, 2009 Clear gold with a nice head of foam. Sweet nutty spicy grainy aroma. Good discernable malt tast with adequate hops bitterness. On the whole, this ale is light bodied. However, the fruity or spicy elements give this drink an odd sweet sour finish. It’s also on the dry end of the spectrum. All in all, a moderately refreshing balanced ale that you can down after a day’s hard toiling. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Feb 23, 2009 16 oz. pub can purchased from Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a hazy gold color with a huge, creamy white head. The aroma was bready, with grassy and earthy notes. This really didn’t smell like too much, but it wasn’t offensive. The flavor was rather plain, with more of a malty taste than anything. A faint grassy finish. scoth (266), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 19, 2009 Pint can with widget. Pours clear golden, with a thick and puffy three-finger white head, good and lasting lacing. Smells of caramel, sweet bread, almond, and hay. Thin, crisp body. Big malt flavors with the same notes as the aroma, but with stronger nut overtones. Well balanced with some hay and earthy hop flavors. Very drinkable. iamqueensblvd (178), , Iowa, USA Feb 18, 2009 Not a bad beer but not at all what i expected. It had little to almost no flavor. I was a little disappointed. . dnoaksson (144), , Sweden Feb 15, 2009 Burk. Snäll smak, len i munnen. Krämig skumkrona. Ganska matig och fyllig. Lite för ordinär för att uträtta några underverk dock. BrotherGrendel (545), San Diego (La Jolla), California, USA Feb 11, 2009 Great clarity and full cascading creamy head. Velvet smooth carbonation is one of the best around. Solid nose of bready grains and light fruit tones. Flavor is light malts, moderate English hop bitterness and flavor, and very subtle esters. Prototype for the style, world class session bitter, super-drinkable!
