Dervock (178), Emu plains, Australia Jan 22, 2009 Can - on tap described the aroma as farts’, from the can theres not much aroma. Nice creamy head. Very thin bodied and not a huge amount of flavour. A non offensive middle of the road bitter. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Jan 21, 2009 Hmmm pride of Manchester is the old rubbish advertising slogan, it never was and it isn’t brewed in Manchester anymore. Clear dark gold / amber with thick white shaving foam head. No life in it, smell almost non-existent (especially to me) taste isn’t too bad but way too flat and thin. Poor. Cheers to my lady’s grandad though for leaving it in my fridge. Thylacine (237), Tasmania, Australia Jan 21, 2009 Can - Clear amber with thick creamy head. Very low carbonation (almost flat). Sweet, malty.with taste of apples. Watery and thin bodied. Very low bitterness. kidrobot (63), Sparta, New Jersey, USA Jan 20, 2009 Didnt really like, or dislike this. Aroma was almost non-existent. Thick mouthfeel with a standard english bitter flavor and aftertaste. IlanMan (815), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jan 17, 2009 Can. Pour was light golden with a creamy white head. Had a very light malt and light hop character. Again, very light brew but very smooth. Fairly well blended but not an ordinary bitter. Much to alcoholic for the style! Block (363), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Jan 13, 2009 Yellow pour with a white head. Aroma and flavor of sweet malts. Not bitter at all. No hop aroma or flavor.
