It’s true. I’m one of the few Americans who really enjoys quaffing Boddington’s. On tap or out of their can, I do believe it is one of the best beers with pub food. Beautiful cascading head and golden color. Slightly bitter flavor, but mostly on malt. No finish at all. But it really does enhance the taste of fish and chips, fried bangers, buffalo wings, and even shrimp tempura.

Thin banana nose, insipid nitro head. Thin body, almost no carbonation. Decent bitterness, not much flavor. Meh.

TAP: beautiful yellow-orange nitro pour. Nose of wheat and bread. Taste is non-descript, however - too bad for such a good-looking beer.

Nitro pint can. WARNING Do Not hold the can on its side and slowly rotate it back and forth to read the label unless you want an eruption of beer and foam upon opening. Poured a very nice looking clear deep orange amber sitting under two fingers of solid velvety white cream. Aroma was all malt based with notes of brown bread and nuts and a touch of banana Peel. Classic nitro smoothness and a light body for a true cask feel. Flavors are similar to the aroma minus the banana Peel and with an addition of subtle toffee. Drinkable but sort of forgettable.

Pours hazy yellow with a very thick and high white top. Aroma is a bit bitter and wheaty, as is the very full flavor. Very mildly bitter finish.

Nitro can. Pours amber with a one-finger white head that lasts the duration. Having a hard time thinking of what to say about this one. A very average beer...sweet with a little bitterness on the finish. Fairly refreshing, but I wouldn’t pay too much for it (this can was a freebie).

Nitro Can: (Rated from memory) Hazy deep golden dense off white head. Folwery aroma with a creamy nitro mouthfeel. Empty body with a big nondescript herbal bitterness. Quite boring and one dimensional- not a good representation of the style.
