pledgco (2), Pennsylvania, USA does not count Dec 24, 2007 Quickly becoming one of my "go to" beers- great creaminess & head. Grab one from the tap where available.
The "pub can" offers a nice pour that holds up as well.
Great if you like Guiness texture, but a lighter fare. panopticon (2), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA does not count Dec 23, 2007 Easily available and goes down very smooth. Not aggressive, and reminds me of chocolate for some reason. Pours a dark golden with a healthy white head. Definitely a repeat purchase for me -- considering the availability and price, this is a great beer. VacaBeerDude (19), Vacaville, California, USA Dec 22, 2007 I found this ale to be very disappointing. Color was quite dull, average head. Taste was biting at first with a finish that was far less that appealing. All in all, not an ale that I could recommend. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 22, 2007 From the pub can--Poured a light golden copper hue with a large white head and lush lacing. Slightly metallic hoppy flavor. Light, creamy mouth feel. Finished smooth and very mildly spicy. Nice session beer. llcooldave (309), San Antonio, Texas, USA Dec 21, 2007 Pours a clear golden/copper color. Lightly carbonated with a nice head and descent lacing. Definitely has a slightly bitter taste to it, but rather clean. Malty/nutty aroma. Not bad... ratfusion (5), USA does not count Dec 21, 2007 For what it is, I think its fantastic, and a pleasure to drink. A fantastic session ale, and easy to get people who aren’t usually beer people to enjoy. gam (1059), brisbane, Australia Dec 17, 2007 Pours a creamy top nice malty and hop aroma. darkish ale like most British.A creamy taste, beautiful bitter and nutty like flavour one to really enjoy.Leaves a tingle on the tongue that is apricot or lime like. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Dec 15, 2007 Warm golden amber with a creamy head. The aroma is pretty neutral, but it has hints of caramel and some light fruits. The flavour has notes of mild fruit, caramel and citrus. The finish is a bit too heavy on the grapefruit, otherwise an inoffensive beer. 1831
