This inhibited much of the aroma at first, but that was fine because it was much to cold anyway. As the glass warmed and the head faded, there was a lightly honeyed aroma, along with some faint hops. The flavour was similar - mild citric notes and a soft mineral-like quality in the mouth. Certainly not a bad beer by any means, just fairly unremarkable, though quite drinkable. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Widget can. Clear, light-amber with a medium-sized, creamy and lasting head. Mild sourish fruit aroma. Taste is also mild : fruity, slightly twangy sour malt. Palate is light-medium bodied, flattish, and dry on the finish. Allthatisevil (48), alabaster, Alabama, USA

It’s way off base from the darker beers I tend to drink. However, It goes down so smooth is so light I keep it in the cooler. KM (238), Tromsø, Norway

Light flavour. Watery and bitter. Seems a bit dead. Bitter finish with a sweet hint. (Tromsø, 18.09.07) brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Updated: Feb 14, 2008This is creamy & well balanced, but very, very lightly flavoured. It has a good blend and balance of flavours, but they and the aroma are extremely mild. It is a golden colour and has a very thick, rich, creamy head, which is very nice and certainly the best trait of the beer. The result is a beer that looks and feels great and is very drinkable and approachable, yet ultimately bland. It can be good on a hot day, though. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Pours a clear amber with a tight, creamy white head, courtesy of the widget in the can. I wish I’d noticed that it was in there before opening the can. Be prepared for a potential gusher. The nose is a bit muted under the dense head, but I pick up distinct notes of honey and pale malt, with a bit of metal in the background. Light-bodied and thin, but with a creaminess that only comes with nitro or the widget. It finishes lightly bitter and a tad metallic, but I can definitely see how the Brits can pound these (bitters) down one after another. It’s tailor-made to be a session brew. The flavor follows the nose with a distinct honey note up front, light pale maltiness following close behind and concludes with a light earthy hop bitterness and a metallic note. It’s a decent enough quaffer, but if you make the mistake of letting it warm at all before you polish it off, it becomes about as appealing as warm Bud Light. haggis03a3 (135), Piedmont, California, USA

Golden color with a soft mousse-like white head. Not a lot of flavor or aroma - a little fruity, a little malty, a little bitter, a little boring. The smooth creamy palate is the best part.
