taunusmies (276), Finland Apr 3, 2007 Pours clear and golden. Nice fruity and hoppy aroma. A bit thin feel in the mouth but balanced bitter taste saves the day. Not bad at all. bkurtz (276), Peru Apr 3, 2007 Poured a golden yellow with a creamy head. Nice bitter hop aroma, but it loses something as you drink. Thin and a bit watery mouth feel. Give me a ¨real¨ British ale. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Mar 31, 2007 Honey colored beer with a nose that unsurprisingly smells much like the color. No head but a very "english" taste to it. A little bitter and dry. CQC (223), Sydney, Australia Mar 30, 2007 liquorish, foam or head (if you want to do some dirty jokes). A hint of old urine, but not in a doorway slash type. Looks a whole lot better than it should. Too much cardboard involved in the taste, with that liquorish thing going. Oh and a hint of apples. Just a good looker but a real shame on the rest. emerica56 (575), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 27, 2007 This beer was poured into a flute glass and you have to let is settle for a while before you drink it. It was very creamy and soft in texture smooth going down the throat. It poured a huge head to it and has a nice golden color to it. The flavor is not that it intence but it is a pub ale so there is not much to expect from it. but overall it was an alright beer Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Mar 25, 2007 A personal favorite, contends with Smithwick’s for my beer of choice in the "English" or "Irish" Pub setting, depending on if I’m looking for "English" or "Irish" in mood. cantona7 (6), federal way, Washington, USA does not count Mar 24, 2007 one of my fave ales. great tasting. price is right. always get it on tap when avail. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Mar 22, 2007 Boddingtons, yo! Nitro tap poor. Perhaps I was a bit drunk by the time I got to this, but I quite enjoyed it. Gentle, bready aroma, nitro mouthfeel is as always very smooth and drinkable. Downplayed and sessionable.
