On tap @ R. O’Sullivan’s Pub. Pours gold with creamy head and light lace. Aroma is very subtle, light grass and bready character. Light bodied, flavor is bread & honey. An easy-drinking unobtrusive ale. Not a bad summer beverage, but lacks much in the way of unique characteristics which might cause me to actually go out of my way looking for it.

The aroma is of light, roasty cereal. Pale golden color, with clear liquid. Head has a slightly lacey, somewhat frothy white appearance. It lingers for the duration of the beer. Taste is lightly/mildly-sweet, with just a tinge of bitter. medium-bodied with a slick texture. Flat carbonation with a long, smooth finish. Decent ale that is worth trying.

There is something miscellaneous about Boddingtons. It doesn’t have a strong taste. Neither does it have a distinct smell. But it’s ever so smooth and easy to drink. It Is great session beer on a summers day and the export version has enough strength to feel the effects after 3-4 beers. In my opinion it’s hard NOT to like this light ale. It’s also my wife’s favourite so I have a soft spot for it.

Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light acidic finish. 210606

Kind of buttery in the taste, no good. No palate at all. Completely dead, can’t find any carbs whatsoever.

Can. Pours a pale yellow with a creamy thick white head. Indistinct aromas. Bitter taste, with similar consistency to Guinness - thin body with a creamy head. Underwhelming flavor, but has a nice, clean, last-beer-of-the-night feel.

Mildly sweet tea-ish, with a dried apple British middle, and a modest, buttery bitter fade. Nitro-can awfulness. Skip it. (4/08)
