[068-20061021] Tap @ Clocktower (Ottawa,ON). Light doughy yeast aroma. Clear, amber body with a very creamy long-lasting off-white head and many tiny bubbles throughout. Flavour is creamy dough with an earthy bitter aftertaste. Very creamy smooth palate, medium body. Overall, a beer that’s got it’s stuff together.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, light amber body with a thick, creamy white head. Smell: Faint aroma of shaving lather and floral hops. Taste: Weak, almost non-existent malt character with a very faint honey-esque sweetness. Metallic hints. Mild bitterness that’s gone for the dry finish. Like water, it is! Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Mild carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Somewhat watery. Drinkability: If you’re looking for an extreme taste sensation, then you’ll be sorely disappointed. If you’re looking for a relatively low-alcohol, smooth, easy-drinking beer, then this’ll do in a pinch. Unfortunately, I prefer the former.

It looks fantastic – golden yellow body, huge thick white head. But curiously no aroma to speak of (nitro canned version). Kind of thin bodied for this type of ale, and once the head goes away there is very little left over. Decent pint out of a nitro can though, you could do worse.

Can: Real light malty fruit aroma. Pours a transparent gold with a nice creamy white head with very good retention. Very watery initial taste with a burnt and bitter finish. Lightly creamy. Very thin. Very light bitter aftertaste.

I’ve had this many times. Sometimes on tap, sometimes in a can. For what it is, I wish it was more bitter. Creamy but I’d sort of classify this as English swill (although their swill is better than ours).

Sweetish malt, coppery aroma and slight tang. Great looking tan body - like scotch. Big foamy off-white head that lasts the whole beer. Low carb with medium body - not oily but not watery. Smooth, low hops, mellow taste with some pleasant bitterness. Modest malts but not sweet. Refreshing beer.

This beer foams like no other and takes awhile to settle. Their is a faint hops taste, otherwise this tastes almost watery.

Sweet malt nose, nice head from the nitro can. Light orange color. Creamy, citrusy malt body. Silky texture.
