Reminds me of a golden Guiness, if there ever was such a thing. Be careful though, always start out with a Boddingtons and then make the switch to something lighter. They pack a punch. daninorlando99 (49), Orlando, Florida, USA

To my surprise, they had it on tap at my usual pub this New Years Eve. I tried a pint of Salvator first (letdown), then the rest of the night I drank these. I was very surprised to see them bringing it to the table. It was very nice looking, as it was just starting to settle. After my second taste (the first seemed to be all head)I was pleasantly surprised. This is the first bitter I’ve tried, and I believed it was excellent. I think I may have a new favorite at the pub, if they’ll keep it on tap. Smacky (71), San Clemente, California, USA

We try to get a keg for all our large gatherings; with the N2/CO2 tap you can't go wrong. At our wedding this keg lasted all of 45 minutes (I thankfully got 2 pints), and a party we had of 15 people cleaned a keg out in 24 hours (we had another keg of depicable beer and 5.25 liters of rum, to boot). Not much of a nose, and the light, golden color is unimpressive, but the Buttertons is a drinking beer for all occasions. A lively, buttery, butterscotch flavor is what this beer is all about. uvajed (112), Ravenna, Ohio, USA

Very nice, and widely available compared to other good English bitters. Quite enjoyable. mrpeanut (17), Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA

Beautiful in a glass. I thought it was going to be darker tho. chino242 (10), USA
