You can smell caramel and toast malt. Strong and full bodied beer. The alcohol does not unbalance this one.

Excelente breja!

2013-05-31. Crisp dark brown body modest small tan head. 3++ Pleasant malty aroma, sugary caramel malt character. 7++ Flavour is pleasantly sweet, caramel malt notes as in the aroma. Sugary accents. Light alcohol presence for the abv. Average plus to medium bodied palate, modest carbonation suits it. 3++ Simple but very enjoyable take on the style. Bottle at Mondial de la Biere 2013, Montreal

Bodebrown Wee Heavy, the first beer made in Brazil in the Strong Scotch Ale Style, still the best for me.
Winning three consecutive gold medal at the Mondial de la Bière, it already shows that beer is good.

Pours a dark ruby with a beige head. Aroma is malty, caramel, toasted and nutty notes with some sugar. Taste is medium to high sweet of caramel and sugar leading to a sweet, lightly toasty and very light bitter finish. Quite liked it! Great Brazilian brewery.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
from Mondial de la Bière 2011, Strasbourg - pours a cloudy brown beer under a modest beige foam left; aroma of wood, licorice, malt and brown sugars; full-bodied and very sweet; a light corny tartness; short and quite dry malty finish with notes of licorice and a lingering bitterness - a bit werid but not without interest

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Cheers Scopey for sharing this rarity. Clear dark amber beer. Good pale tan - cream head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has fine carbonation. Good caramel - toffee malt with some lacto. Sweet! Finishes dry with mildly bitter dried fruits. Hides the alcohol well.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (purchased at Delirium Rio), consumed at Chriso’s Easter tasting 2012. It pours deep amber, with a decent beige head. The nose is toffee, hot cross bun, caramel, Horlicks and beef jerky. The taste is cola, toffee, plum, prune, grape, chocolate, spice, sugar and caramel, with a dry, fruity finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad, but perhaps a bit too sweet.
