Cask Conditioned at The Plough, Bodicote. Another of Jim's newer beers, he is widening his scope, but this dark amber beer does retain some of the brewery's normal characteristics. A smoky dry flavour, with slightly boiled hops, but on top of this there is a sweet fruity waft of flavour. One of Jim's better brews.

Tasting notes from 2004 Banbury Beer festival. Amber with off-white / beige head. Caramel and dark fruit aromas. Caramel, mild coffee, fruit...mainly sweet malt flavours. Dry finish, with hop bitter notes kicking in at the end.

Cask Stillage at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood 15/02/2003 Mid brown amber coloured beer with some alcohol. Slightly dry bitter finish.

My gosh, thank you for a beer at this festival other than a golden bitter. This was brewed as an anniversary ale for the Bodicote's 20 years of brewing. Deep, dark amber-brown, with hints of red. A similarly deep fruitiness comes through, with the flavor driven by a cherry vein. Sweet and silky. Not the most complex beer, but well brewed. (on gravity cask, 2003 Charlbury Beer Festival, Oxon)
