Chunks of yeast, just a little honey in the aroma, together with apple. Full bodied, almost buttery. Honeyish flavor, not coming forward too much. Hoppy, yeasty and some orange, apricot and apple. A bit of sourness and herbs. Not a bad beer, reasonably balanced.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Kåstå (1221) - Mol, BELGIUM - MAR 10, 2003
Dark blond cloudy beer with a huge quickly disappearing head. Slightly honey sweet with a yeasty taste. The alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing. Medium bitter finish. A bit too yeasty for me.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - JAN 16, 2003
2 years old Cloudy light amber color, with too many sediment particles; persistent head. Strong biting malt aroma, white sugar. Smooth taste, well balanced (i.e. not too sweet), velvety; malt, fudge, light honey. Interesting final, not really hoppy, but juggling between sweetness and dryness, bitterness and honey.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - SEP 11, 2002
An incredible zing of fresh fruity flavours, a hint of honey lurking around, lots of fresh spice, a firm malt body not overdominated by the alcohol strength, and a pleasant and subtle hit of fragrant hops. A wonderful beer. Strongly recommended. Well worth seeking out. I bought mine at the Canterbury Beer Festival, so I don’t know where to get it. The website address is: www.proximedia.com/web/boelens.html - but it’s in Dutch.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jcalbi (378) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 25, 2002
Somewhat of a rust color (although the lighting in the restaurant made it difficult to see) with a nice lemony aroma. A rather astringent hop bitterness yet quite flavorful and filling.
