Golden coloured and unclear. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma has notes of honey, faint sweet and dry, light bread, hoppy notes too. The hoppy notes gets heavy in the flavor, real nice, spicy, herbal, faint metallic the good way, creamy, dry texture and soft carbonation.

Test vom 21.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,11,11,13,9,12 - 11,20

Cloudy golden yellow with white head. Luscious, quite strong aroma with notes of honey, Belgian yeast and orange peel. Lovely rustic flavor, spicy honey-good touch. Long, dry finish.

33cl bottle. Turbid amber with a lot of sediment and a moderate white head. Hoppy nose (grassy, tea notes), light fruity notes (cherry), a touch of honey. Sweetish-spicy taste with a strong bitter aftertaste. Mellow, light carbonated palate.

bottle@’t Waagstuk: clear yellow with a lasting white head, smells sweet with honey & yeast, hop & spice, not picking up much of the honey in the taste but I am getting a certain sweetness from it with a decent amount of bittering hops, spice & yeast + some caramel, light body with lots of carbonation, not bad but nothing special really

750ml capped bottle. It pours a yellowish gold with a slight bit of haziness. It had a big, foamy, white head that dissipates with thick lacing. The aroma is moderately spicy with a noticeable sweetness, some bready malt, and a bit of fruitiness. The hops are noticeable and add to the fruitiness. The flavor is earthy and musty. It has a lot of malted barley flavors, and a lot of spice from the Belgian yeast. There is a slight bit of hops in the finish that adds some herbal notes. It is a decent beer, the flavor isn’t really wowing but it is pretty light and drinkable. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-20-2011 03:31:40

A nice honey flavoured strong ale. The honey does not take over and leaves room for the beer.
