4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 cosmicpolly (27) - Bruges, BELGIUM - MAY 21, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. colour is golden orange with a lovely head. The beer started to foam heavily when pouring it out(the second time I experience this with a Bieken) and I had to pour it out into two glasses.
Beside this, the beer tasted wonderfull with notes of honey and yeast. Not too bitter, lovely sweetness (and yet not too sweet): a lovely combination of tastes. I really like this stuff!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 10, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2008 Bottle. Simply the best honey beer I have tasted. Honey gold in colour with a lacy white head, it knocks you for six with a sublime aroma of honey and burnt sugar, kept from oversweetness by peppery hop hints. On the tongue it’s smooth and rich but never cloying. Delightful stuff that I highly recommend.
I should note that the two bottles I bought at GBBF 08 were both vile and not worth a 2.5 let alone my original score. What’s happened?
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 renffisch (642) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2008
bottle at ethereals. Sweet scent of honey bees :-) more like honey combs rather than honey. Amber colour, little white head, steady fine bubbles. a lot of honey beers either dont taste of honey or are overly overbearingly honey sweeeet, but this is neither. Expertly balanced. just right. gorgeous, and the label is too cute.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 1, 2003
3 y.o. - blond-orange colour, fine creamy head, subtle flowery and honeyish aroma with a touch of alcohol, very smooth, creamy, moderate bitterness, long dry yeasty finish with strong notes of gingerbread
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jcalbi (378) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 25, 2002
Somewhat of a rust color (although the lighting in the restaurant made it difficult to see) with a nice lemony aroma. A rather astringent hop bitterness yet quite flavorful and filling.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Suttree (3925) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 8, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2008 Cloudy, straw yellow, with a thinnish white head. Big honey aroma, also winey and floral. Flavor is honey, as well - almost meade-like at first. Dryish, flinty notes in the finish. We happened to be eating a mildly sweet Irish cheddar at the time that really complimented this beer really well, btw.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jefcon (1124) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Golden and amber in the glass with a volatile head. Aromas of lavender and honey. Pretty. Not sweet at all on the palate, long, dry finish/ Very floral flavors, dry malts, and some subtle spice. Kind of hot, spicy even, from more sources than the alcohol. Better and more sophisticated than many of these ratings show, in my humble opinion.
