Lasting huge beige head. Clear deep brown body. Vinous honey aroma with apple and spice notes. Dry-sweet spicy honey taste with apple notes. Mid-to-full body. Mildish mouthfeel. Dryish spicy honey aftertaste with buttery notes. Nice, vivid, drinkable. (0.33l bottle from the brewery.)

Bottle from the brewery as Santa Bee. Dar. Candy sugar, nutmeg, the honey in this is not very prominent. Burned sugar, flowers, soot. Complex, highly enjoyable.

[Bottle] Marketed as ’Santa Bee’. 2010 vintage. Dark amber color with garnet colored highlights. About a half inch of dense cream colored head. Aroma of bubblegum, sherry, honey and grass is kind of all over the place. Includes strawberry, licorice, yeasty phenols, fig and spice in the taste. Carbonation levels reminiscent of tonic water. Full bodied and borderline syrupy. Tasting notes from 12/2011.

Dark beer. Smells neutral. The advertised amount of caramel and sweetness is not detectable. Tastes like herbs, spices. Some honey, ’wooden’ smell. Okay.
