Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours blood red with a off white head. Red soda, cool aid. Sugar and berries. Strawberries. Push-Pop.

Weird beer. It’s grassy and has a genuine taste of strawberry. But it’s also a bit flat.

33cl bottle, BB 14/04/2014.

Strawberry beer for the yearly Miss Strawberry elections in Melsele (a village associating itself with strawberry culture). Cream white, thin but dense, creamy head, peach blond colour with orangey hue, cloudy with deposit. Aroma reveals lots of fresh strawberry indeed, no extracts or anything artificial, next to hints of bread, banana, pear, brown sugar, yeast and hops but unfortunately a lot of H2S (rotten egg) as well - this beer is clearly infected, not the first time I encounter this in a Boelens brew. Malty, grainy taste, fruity, mineral-like with subtle but definitely fresh and ’raw’ strawberry presence, mild hop bitterishness in the end. Could have been a lot better without the infection.

10/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 14/IV/14 - shared with my sister in law (2013-227)

Clear blond (!) beer, small irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of strawberry candy, bubble gum, strawberry jam, some ripe to overripe fruits. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, surprisingly, some ripe to overripe fruits, little sweet, pretty bitter hops, candy. Aftertaste: little bitter, fruity touch. This is pretty weird. It’s like a regular blond beer to which they have added strawberries or strawberry juice. Probably no syrup, cause it’s not sweet and there’s no colourant in it. Oh well, a 2.5 for trying and not making it sickenly sweet. No, 2.6, there you go!

Bottle @ home, shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Hazy reddish color, off-white head and a lot of yeast particals in it. Smells very sweet and very much like strawberry. Good work making a beer that has a real strawberry taste in it, but I just don’t like it in a beer. Low cabro, low body.

Red with a small white head. Lots raspberry and strawberry in the aroma, along with a touch of licorice. Sweet strawberry and licorice flavour with a grassy, hoppy finish

Not only the name is weird and bad. Orange to red colour with lots of yeast. Smells strawberry and banana syrup. Tastes like it smells, with some yoghurt and malts. Okay carbo, light body.

Countbeer (4726) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle: Label says 8.5% alc. Medium to bigger sized pretty vast white head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Smell is pretty weird: grains, pils malts, chalk, puke, ashy, gass, after a while a hint of marzepin gets through... Taste is also weird, but a bit less weirder than the smell and it is (a bit) unbalanced: malts, yeast, bitter, malt bitters, plantish hops, herbs, herbal bitterness, bit like a less alcoholic imperial pilsner... Same maltyness... Aftertaste is bitter with malts, herbs, hops, light fruity touch like dusty strawberry and some yeast. Low carbo, soft smooth mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. It’s not bad, but it’s far from good.. Unbalanced, weird, strange bitterness... But it has a good mouthfeel and texture and you can’t really taste the alcohol... Ah well you can’t have all, can you?

330ml bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a small head. Aroma is straw and strawberry jam. Taste has some straw to start and a sweet orange (?) finish. Thin. No hint of the strength.
