2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 OlivierMTL (711) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 27, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2005 Couleur brune pâle.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy amber, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (dough, mold), with notes of cherry, coriander, and toffee.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation.
Pleasant, especially in the looks and mouthfeel departments. Not as flavorful/balanced as desired, though.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 schuimkroaat (410) - Leuven, BELGIUM - MAR 15, 2005
33 cl bottle, bottled in 2004. Light brown, hazy, lots of yeast, stable head. Malty sweet aroma with chestnut, walnut, yeast and some alcohol. Flavour is sharp, slightly acidic and earthy with little aftertaste. Where are hops, actually? Strong body.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sayravai (4655) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 8, 2005
(Bottled) Darkish brown color with almost no head, some lace, and an enormous amount of big yeast clumps floating. Sourish, earthy, slightly wineous aroma with hints of alcohol. Quite sour-fruity flavor with strawberry, vegetable and toffee hints. Medium-bodied, quite dry and sour palate with low carbonation. Somewhat interesting, but not that pleasant experience.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2005 Bottle. Very highly carbonated, big head. Aroma fruity and sour. Very acidic flavour, a hint of strawberry. Tastes a bit like vinegar, but I like it. Possibly infected? Different bottle: Malty, perfumy/soapy aroma. Brown colour, small creamy head. Flavour also malty with a hint of perfume. Sweet aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 maeib (7557) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2004
Bottled. Swan & Rushes Leicester. A mid brown beer with hints of a medicinal taste and also a bit of nail varnish. The aroma is dry and actually smells cold. There is no head to this beer at all, and although it tastes thin, it is mildly amusing and it does grow on you through the glass.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Chokehold (20) - cape town, SOUTH AFRICA - NOV 30, 2004
I really enjoyed this beer, very nice on the throat, very smooth, dark in color. Looks like a cheap beer by the label, ha ha, really enjoyed it. Bottom line, i would buy a case for home.
