3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jaghana (1802) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - MAR 15, 2011
Bottle 33cl. A cloudy amber beer with good head and high carbonation. Nose is hopy. Aroma is high on hops character, spicy, bitter, resin like and very nice honey presence. The beer is quite sweet, round, the hops flavor goes nicely around the tongue with good body, long aftertaste, some diacetyl notes. Pleasant beer.

I liked the dubbel one better. While a decent tripel, it leaves me a little wanting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 31, 2011
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with apricots, orange, mandarin and spicy hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of apricots, orange, tropical fruit and a generous floral, citrussy, spicy bitterness in a warming finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet, with soft carbonation. Excellent balance makes it deceptively drinkable for its strength. Lovely triple with a grassy, citric, almost saison like character. Very nice.
