bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 4, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with an average creamy off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, buttery, citrus, and floral. Flavor of hops and spicy yeast with a strange, somewhat unappealing bitter herbal/floral finish.

Bottle on the boat next to the the beer fest at peterborough beer fest. Alround rating: Peachy, sweet, candy sugar, lots of alc, very yeasty, spicey quite a bit of corriander. Too yeasty and alcoholic.

SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - JUL 9, 2008
330ml swing top bottle from Beers of Europe. Opens with a vivid pop, but beer doesn’t foam over (kept chilled in the fridge). Head roars up in the glass but then settles into attractive penicillin clumps. Mousy carbonation, not too aggressive. Yeasty flavours - very Belgian in that regard. The most flavour initially comes from the yeast, then the hops - a straight hop bitterness - European, bittering hops. Some biscuity malt gradually emerges. This is a typical dry, slightly chalky tripel. There’s a faint dried pineapple fruit flavour lingering around. An awareness of alcohol. An OK tripel - fairly standard.

Bottle. Gold, good white head and good condition. Malt and yeast in the nose with a slight infected yeast note, quite yeasty and full in the mouth with some fruity sweetness, genle yeasty bitter finish.

I liked the dubbel one better. While a decent tripel, it leaves me a little wanting.

Flip-top bottle pours orange amber with disappearing lacy head. Sweet, malty aroma with an herbal element that is probably coriander. Flavor is very sweet, a little spicy, with a simple bitterness that doesn’t quite do enough to balance the sweetness. Bit of alcohol shows through. Bittersweet aftertaste.

Hazy gold with a large white head. Huge estery nose. Big tropical fruits and pepper there. Esters and alcohol in flavour. Over the top fruity and unbalanced. Drinkable, but not great.

Parket (544) - Bruges, BELGIUM - JAN 26, 2012
bottle, yellow colour with foamy white head. Smell: very yeasty. Taste: alcohol, yeast, some strange thing I don’t expect to be in the beer. Not my style at all.
