A bottle from Utobeer, Southborough market. En exellent belgian ale, brown redish colour, big head, lots of sweet fruits, hops and yeast to balance. Strong and still very drinkable. Good looking bottle too.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish brown with a lasting fluffy beige head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with notes of plums, dates, peaches, bread, nuts and cloves. Flavour is about the same as the aroma with the fruit a little more restrained and the malt amplified. Light bodied with a dry mouthfeel, lively carbonation and a long spicy finish. Not my favourite style of Belgian ale but still pretty good, particularly in small doses.

Bottle (33 cl swing-top) from bierzwerg.de. Clear deep copper, medium beige head. Spicy, fruity almond aroma, some floral hops. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry with medium bitterness. A bit Chimay-like and very good.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, BBE 18.03.13
Sweet and perfume-like aroma, reminds me of an aged belgian ale. It has toffee, caramel, lots of candi sugar, spices and sweetish malt. Flavour has candi sugar, spices and some caramel. Some roastiness too. Alcohol-filled finish. Good belgian ale, but the alcohol disturbs a bit here.

Bottel @ home. I expected quite a lot from this beer and I got it. Really sexy bottle and matching glass. Pressure release goes with a loud pop and luckily no gushing. Builds up a nice big foamy head that gives a way an alcoholic aroma, with malts and Belgian yeast. Really sweet smell of candi sugar. Flavour is powered by alcohol. The hops are really present making it bitter and the alcohol is nice and warming. I loved this and will get it again, whenever I can find it.

Una de les grans Belgian Strong Ales que he provat. Llarga, melosa i amb l’alcohol molt ben integrat. Totalment recomenable.

Dark brown color, little red glow coming through. Full flavor, full body, nice bitterness, long aftertaste. Better than expected.
