Una de les grans Belgian Strong Ales que he provat. Llarga, melosa i amb l’alcohol molt ben integrat. Totalment recomenable.

Deep brown in color with an excellent sudsy, off-white head. Smells like a bag of dry roasted malt. Super malty with moderate sweetness. Really a malt-bomb, like chewing straight malt. Deceptive strength.

Dark red body. Big head with big bubbles. Caramel, peach, sweet bread, cane sugar and cloves. Very smooth body really nice. Slightly sticky as well. Full flavour with nice bitter mouthfeel and a very long aftertaste that’s slightly alcoholic. Unexpectedly good drink. (33cl bottle)

A bottle from Utobeer, Southborough market. En exellent belgian ale, brown redish colour, big head, lots of sweet fruits, hops and yeast to balance. Strong and still very drinkable. Good looking bottle too.

Head is initially large, frothy, light brown, fully lasting. Body is murky medium brown, dense particles of all sizes, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (nutty, toasted dark bread, caramel, milk chocolate), with notes of cask wood, toffee, light note of alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Quite nice.

Pours a huge beige head, that last for a while, but no so long as its sister Boerinneken. Leaves a lot of lace, that makes a pretty drawing on the glass. Subtle smell of chocolate, cherries, toffee and fruits, with some pepper. Flavor is mostly sweet. Taste of chocolate, fruits, peepr and coriander, port wine like. Enjoyable beer.

Boerken has a very nice and lasting head and dark brown color. The aroma is alluring with a harmonic balance between malt and fruit. The mouth feel is smooth and oily. The flavour is sweet, smooth and lightly perfumed with notes of fruit, roasted malt, licorice and caramel. The alcohol is present in the finish, but not as much as in Boerinneken. A beer for enjoying, a relief for the soul...

pours with a big tan foamy frothy head; slightly hazy burnished copperish brown, light nose picks up yeast, hops, a bit of citrus, very little indication of the 9.5 % alcohol. interesting change of flavors bitter sweet, yeasty, malty, a hint of tartness - nice beer. brought it back from Brussels with me
