Bottle at home. Pours a deep blonde colour with some fluffy sediment kicked up. Thin head. Slight aroma of yeast and caramel. Sweet start with a little bitterness to balance. Definitely sweet on the palate, with a slightly floury backtaste. Middle of the road beer: I wouldn’t seek out another.

Bottle @ café in Veurne. Blond colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet and bitter. Aroma of caramel and spices. Well balanced. Ok beer.

Typical Belgian top-fermented blonde, with medium thick, stable, snow white head and orange blonde colour, almost clear, filtered. Aroma of peach, caramel, tomato, grass, honey, liquorice, also a bit lightstruck. Taste begins neutral with mild carbonation, then lightly malty with some yeasty spicy notes, finish with a brief and mild hop bitterishness. Thirst-quencher, not much more. Perhaps an alias of Petrus Blond?

Kicsit opálos belső, citromsárga szín, közepes méretű, fehér, gyorsan eltűnő hab. Illat és íz is zöld almás, citrusos, füves, szalmás, kissé alkoholos, malátás, a vége furcsán kesernyés. Ásít, nem kér többet...

33 cl. bottle @ Edison, Koksijde. Deep golden with a thin white head. Sweet aroma and a sweet taste without any real depth. Shallow like a real blonde.

An alias for Petrus Blond, or near enough to make no matter. But I can’t prove that and not sure I care. It is a beautiful gold ale with a rocky white head, with a sweet flavor bordering on insipid. So much for Veurne’s beer.

Bottle 330ml - given to me by a bar owner in Veurne It has a biscuity toffee nose with the slightest hint of cereals and floral hops. It pours a medium amber with a very thin head that disappears after a couple of swigs. Taste wise this beer is sweet fruity malts giving way, through a slight smokiness into a slightly bitter and dry finish. Love this for a Belgian beer. Reminds me solidly of Veurne - any town with that many bars in a small square rocks by my reckoning!!

(Bottle, Cambrinus, Brugge, 17 July 2012) Golden colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, herbs and a touch of toast. Malty, fruity taste with notes of toast, dried fruit, apricots, a touch of bread and a certain sweetness in a finish with a mild bitterness. Medium body. Quite nice and tasty.
