3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium, lightly brownish tinted head disappearing over veiled cola-brown beer. Caramel, toffee, brandy cake, bit burned. Pretty complex nose, actually, but also some oxydized malts. Liquorice overdose at the start, dark malts galore following fleetingly but then water-thinned caramelsyrup. Much less complex than the nose suggested. Parsley. Feels quite carbonated; despite the dark malts, melanoidins and tutti quanti not much more than medium bodied. Still, all in all a worthy beer to try.
