begins with a clean, hoppy aroma, transitions to the only beer i would describe as "refreshing", and finishes with the best malty flavor i have experienced

Buena cerveza, refrescante y de buen aroma, en mi concepto tiene un buen sabor en boca y se maneja bien en nariz

On tap at Cafe Centraal. Aroma is grain with a slight sweet smell. Appearance is golden. Taste is fantastic, very pleasing light, malty taste. Very clean tasting. It is very soft and refreshing on the palate. Almost no hop bitterness, a very clean beer.

Had a sample at WOBFest 2016. Seriously Ratebeerians, why all the hate? Sure it’s a lager, but it’s pretty decent.

On draught at Café Hollander in Madison, WI, three times, most recently in early July 2016. Served in the proper glass as are all beers at this bar (nice!) Listed at 4.5% alcohol, but I’d have to assume this is the correct beer pending being able to get more info from the bar. At any rate, what I had tasted much more like a real pils, so I suppose it’s also possible this is some different export version or something - or that I’m just easy:). Anyway, it pours a light gold with a pretty decent fluffy head that fizzles away slowly...bready, biscuity aroma, a touch of herbal (thyme) character, pretty inviting...on the tongue it’s mostly moderately sweet biscuity malt, drying out to a reasonably snappy grassy finish...one of the pints I had showed a touch of buttery (diacetyl) unpleasantness on the nose, but it wasn’t hugely problematic, and the other two were just fine. To my taste this comes off as a pretty solid pils, and I’m glad to see it on the bar’s otherwise almost entirely Belgian-style menu.

Draft at Hilton Hotel, Luxembourg: I must be one of the few who liked this beer. Maybe it was because I was in-country. Poured golden yellow with a full thick white head. European hop aroma with some fruits like grape and apple. Clean crisp flavor with just slight bitterness and fruitiness. Lots of lacing and small amount of streaming bubbles. Good easy drinking beer.

Rating for draught
Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, grass, apple and hops. Quite bitter, fresh flavour, light malt, quite big on the hops for a lager. Decent body (again, for a lager) and medium lasting bitter finish.
Very decent lager, but quite unappreciated here. On bottles both the bottling date as the BB date is printed, which I’m always a fan of. As far as I could work out, the BB date is only 4 months from the bottling date, so I guess the brewers’ message is: drink fresh!

Test vom 28.2.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,11,11,11,11,11 - 11,00
