Bottle @ Bøgedal. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange. A small fizzy head quickly dissipates. Aroma is dominated by cascade, plums and apricot. Flavour is slightly medicinal - probably from the yeast. Otherwise has a woody, sherry-like feel to it with a touch of oranges. Nice oily mouthfeel. Brewed in december 2004, it still was quite pleasant.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2006
Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting, August 2005. Hazy yellow colour. Much like the other Bogedal beers I tried, this has a woody, medicinal, herbal character, accompanied by a touch of licorice and some jammy fruit. Rather musty mouthfeel. I’m just not clear what the brewer is trying to achieve with these beers. An intriguing, but not wholly enjoyable, beer. Extra points for the interest.

RBESG05: Cloudy gold, no head. Sweet, fruity yet not cloying. Interesting farmyard character, quite yeasty. Certainly an interesting beer.
