2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2005
Bottle at RBESG grand tasting, August 2005. Sludgy dark brown appearance (I got the end of the bottle again). Some cocoa and burnt malt, maybe some licorice. Odd herbal, almost floral, aroma sits uncomfortably. Soft, sweet mouthfeel. I’m having trouble getting to grips with these Bogedal beers. Perhaps I just don’t understand them.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2005
Sampled at RBESG 2005. A dark brown beer with a thin tan head. Malty and chocolaty aroma with little yeast. Mild and not too interesting. Thin and watery malt, yeast and herb flavor. Unbalanced, uninteresting and very much like the other beers from this odd brewery.

Spicy aroma conjures images of the deep woods, earthy knolls and wet leaves. Opaque dark brown body is topped by a low, off white head that recedes to ring. Nutty, earthy, woody flavour with some light spicy bitterness. Medium body with a smooth texture and fair carbonation. Bottle sampled at RBESG 2005.
