Brew date 11/22 2005 - Dark brown with small, lasting light brown head. Intense aroma, dried fruits, roast malts, molasses, port, chocolate. Fruity flavour with plenty of bitterness. It’s past the recommended date, and some of the aroma may come from slight oxidation, but it certainly doesn’t hurt the beer in any way.

750ml. Comes in a stylish bottle with a popping champagne cork that tried to go through the roof when being opened. Almost black in colour. Solid brownish foam with lots of bubbles. Marked aroma of chocolate. Dark flavour of roasted barley and dark chocolate. Fine bitter aftertase. An almost fullbodied brown ale (Thanks to CinnamonGirl for bringing this to a drinking session at Sommarøy, 25.08.2006)

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2006 [Bøgedal nr. 41] A dark nut brown beer with a fluffy brown whipped cream head. The aroma is sweet nutty combined with notes of alcohol and berries, but also a hint of dust - I guess it is the hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, wood, berries, cloves, and other spices. After the very complex middle a short bitterness sets in before a long lasting woodey end sets in. Very complex - but maybe a bit too complicated? atleast for me
