UPDATED: NOV 18, 2006 [Bøgedal nr. 43 fad] A deep red beer with a lazing orange head - clearer and lighter than the non cask matured version. The flavor is sweet and rather fruity, but also with notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as light notes of red wine and straw, leading to a dry end with a slight wine bitterness. The mouthfeel is very rounded and mellow. This beer has evolved a lot from the 3 months in a redwine cask.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Nr. 43 fad Pours very dark brown with a haze and a tint of red. Creamy, beige head. Lightly vinous nose with distinct oak. Medium body, hard roasted maltiness with a burned edge. Distinct flavours of the oak hiding some of the burn. Lovely. Thanks to Ungstrup for sharing. 180506

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2006 Bottled. (# 43 fad)75cl, champagne-cork. Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted, but a bit less than the ordinary. Some raisins here too, and some coffee. Flavor is roasted, malty and with coffee, and it has some notes of alcohol. Almost full-bodied and lightly sweet, with a dry, bitter finish, a bit dryer than the version that is not oak-aged. Thx Jens for sharing this one. (060518)

Bottled. Very dark brown/red coloured. Light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, liqourice, spice and some herbs. Quite balanced. Flavour as well is very balanced. Sweetness, light fruits, chocolate, light roast and again liqoiurice. Is medium to full bodied. Complex and balanced beer. Light bitter roasted end. Very good one from Bøgedal.
