Bottle. Huge tan head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown and slightly hazy. Aroma is roast malt and maybe some smoke. Taste is roast malt, hops and coffee.

Tasted as Bøgedal 271. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, caramel and sugar. The flavor follows the nose with additional orange. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.

As #271. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted caramel and orange peal. Flavour is roasted caramel, orange peal, grass and light flower.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.

Bottle at Wachi. Black with lace. Nose of apple, chocolate caramel, spice, light roasting. Roasty malt flavor with big dark chocolate, rich, lovely malt, nice X-mas flavor. Lovely, spicy, rich and thick with low carbonation. Love it.

Flaska provad med ölföreningens julölsprovning.Doft av muscovado, mörk rom och mörkt bröd. Söt lätt bränd smak, ganska fadd, kort eftersmak, lite drag av svagdricka.

Very dark brown pour with a beige white head that dissipates quickly. Very weird, this one. Lots of dark sugars and nuttiness with hints of citrus, and something off that I couldn’t quite place. Medium palate with low carbonation.

Draft as Bogedal 136, staff recommendation. Very dark brown color, brown large bubble edge head. Aroma of subtle orange peel, chocolate covered roasted chestnuts without the open fire. Taste is roasty chocolate and light coffee. Nice.

Deep reddish brown. Beige frothy head, fast diminishing. Aromas of weakly burned malt. Some alcohol, raisins and other dried fruit. In the mouth I find leather, dates, roasted almonds. Light bitter. Medium body and somewhat slick mouthfeel. Soft carbo. Overall a decent brew, but was not as good as my expectations. A little more sweetness and spices would made the trick for being a great christmas beer.
