UPDATED: SEP 21, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours black with brown creamy head. Clear smell of coffee (nothern brewer hops)/roasted malts, hops and citric note - some yeast too. Round mouthfull with dark taste of malts and the brown sugar, alcohol beneath it all. Well balanced bitterness in the aftertaste. As it warms up the nothern brewer hops stands out and makes this beer taste very much like Nørrebro Bryghus Northern Bridge Extreme. VERY good beer

Bøgedal 0145. 75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is mild spiced with annis seed and roasted malt. Smooth annis seed and malty flavour with a mild chocolate smoothness. Lingering malty finish with mild bitternes.7-3-7-3-14=3.6 - surprised that this should be the same beer...

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2007 Bottle as #73 @ YNWA. Pours a wonderful deep dark red with a big creamy brownish head. Aroma has a hoppy edge, but mostly dried fruits, chocolate and coriander. Flavours are dark and wonderful. Sweet and malty with roasted and chocolate tones. A flowery hoppyness pervades through the entire experience. Finish is extremely long with loads of spices. Brilliant! 4.3
<BR< Bottle, as #106, Bottle, sampled @ Kolding Vinhandel. Pours a muddy dark brown with a small, but very creamy beige head. Aroma is sweet, lightly roasted with a great background of chocolate. Flavour is equally chocolate based with a weak belgian sugar feel as well as hints of Christmas spices. Mouthfeel is creamy. 3.8

Courtesy of henrikb. Pours brown with a smooth velvety tan head that quickly settles to a ring of bubbles. Smells of chocolate, some coffee and spice. Tastes of chocolate, pepper, lots of spice, hints of earthy hops and molasses. Mouthfeel is full with a sugary sweet finish. Some pine and molasses hints linger around after the beer is finished. This is definitely one of the best of the Julols I’ve sampled.

Pours a very dark chestnut brown color with slight mahogany edges and a frothy, pillowy two finger yellowish tan head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Visible carbonation bubbling up and sporadic spots of lacing left behind. Roasted chocolate malt aroma with roasted coffee, dark fruit, licorice and candy sugar notes as well as some subtle hops. Again, the flavor contains a lot of roasted chocolate malt with hints of hazelnut, roasted coffee bean, dark fruit, peppery spice and licorice notes. Very nice balance of sweet dark fruit notes, mostly cherry, plum and raisin, and nice roasted malt with slight bitter dry hop finish.

Bottled. Cloudy brown color, medium creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolat, malty, some licorice, coffee, very spicy like a Christmas brew. Taste of licorice, roasted malt, quite bitter.

Bogedal No 76. Bottle 75cl. Thanks to thewolf for the trade. Aroma has hops and chocolate, oranges. Cloudy, brown coloured with a beige, medium head. Taste is sweet with bitterness. Very nice. It has some fruitiness and chocolate. Quite full of taste for a relative light beer. Nice balance.

[Tasted at Carlsens.] True aroma and flavor of something homebrewed in the dogmeway. This is a fact on most of their brews and indeed also thisone. It’s a broadsider, which means that many people like it. Sometimes you feel that it has been on oaks, but thisone have NOT. Taste one which have been, and you’ll look at the world with other eyes from that day. Black, hoppy mouthfeel and a flavor of grafefruit shell. Very nice body.
