Unfiltered, lovely golden color. apples and juniper on the nose. Yeasty! mmmmm...mmmmm..good. Apples and juniper on the palate as well. nice lingering flavors and persistant effervesance. nicely balanced and Solid.

Bottle at DØE. Dark orange colour with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of fruit, yeast, alcohol and hoppy notes.

0.75l corked bottle that has been cellared for about one year. DAMN! The cork really REALLY popped! Think I might have given the next door dog a heart attack. I sure as hell got spooked into a different dimension.. This beer start off as a light blurry glowing-amber beer, but as you get closer to the bottom it turned really hazy and in the finish it’s really really packed with tons of sediments and it’s actually on the border of being murky. It has a big fantastic looking fluffy off-white head. The aroma is lovely fruity with notes of apples, peach, pear, caramel and some suitable alcohol hints. The carbonation is average with these typical small-prickling bubbles and the mouthfeel is light sticky to oily. The flavors are rich, warming, fruity, caramel, extremely balanced with woody hints and a perfect little alcohol twitch towards finish. Really really good! 10.01.2012

22.10.2011. 0,75l Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Labeled "Bøgedal Lys # 1, bryg no. 224". Cloudy beer with golden orange color. Head is very creamy and there is a lot of carbonation at first. At first this beer is very thick with light oily mouthfeel but it gets more fresh with good flavours of hops and flower after a while. Flavours of grassy hops with notes of pinetrees. Strong body with alcohol that gives strength. Very good beer.

Nose is barn yard, apricot, yeast, sweet alcohol, lemon, feel is mediumbroad, carb is mediumlow, taste is sweet malt, some alcohol, sweet red grape, little pine, late soft hops

Bottle. A slightly weird orange / brown colour with heaps of sediment floating around. Large off white head. Nose shows heaps of biscuity malt, spice, honey and some us style hops. Flavours are a little odd. Some malty sweetness and a little resiny hops on the finish. Medium mouthfeel.

750ml from stevefinny on BA - thanks! Dark orange pour, thick and sedimental, with a nose of dried spice, mint, vegetal funk. Body is medium, but still decently carbonated (beer’s about 3 years old). Faint malts, lemon, mint, and spice swimming around in the taste, nothing really standing out too much. Decent Fantome-ish beer.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. This beer was kinda hard to find online, listed as it is on the label as "Bøgedal Lys # 1". Only when I read the fine print did I see "Brygg no. 224", which lead me to this alias here on RB. The confusing thing here is that the ABV on my bottle is 8 % ABV (which is right for the alias), while this "aliased beer" is only listed to 6,8 %. Dunno what’s going on here, but I suggest Bøgedal start actually giving real names to their beers instead of confusing, aliasing, nonsensical numbers. It’s not that hard guys, come on. And it’s more fun. Oh well, on with the rating. Pours a deep golden amber body with a fine-masked creamy off-white head. Lookin’ good. Aroma is very floral, with tones of heather honey, flowers and some very nice fruity tones as well. Hints of herbal grassiness, the whole thing is subtly composed and the scent flows out of the glass to a considerable radius. Hard to pin down, apart from the floral-ness of it all. Nice, though. Taste is also very floral, reminding me of some sort of herbal tripel of sorts. Very smooth, sweet light maltiness coupled with an extremely well-balanced hop bitterness with tiny hints of grass and pine. Neither malts nor hops are the main characters here; the beer itself is highly balanced and the integrated wholes is taking up the stage all by itself. Full-bodied and really, really nice. Definitely the best one from Bøgedal for me so far, and actually worth my money despite the somewhat deterring price tag. What a nice surprise! :-)

750mL No156 courtesy of argo0. Pours a flat, hazy orange with no head. Aroma of lavender soap, plastic phenols, mint. Taste is odd, sweet, plastics, sickly sweetness, tart lemon. Bad batch.
