/8/10/8/fl/9

Bottle thanks to Papsoe. Pours a very dark brown. Rocky tan coloured head that died away super quickly leaving no head. Not the greatest looking beer. Aromas are some what subdued. On opening the bottle I got a decent hint of sourness and wood. This quickly disappaeared leaving some roastred malt and some grassy hop resin. Flavours are somewhat bitter thanks to the roasted malt and hops. Fullish mouthfeel. Flattish carbonation.

[Sampled with the trio: Svoger, Svogergylp and Foged at EBF, 2008.] As always superb brew from Casper. Fullmalted notes of cascade and caramel in an elegant harmony, licorice, coffee, some chocolate and fruit.

Bottled@EBF 2008. Hazy dark brown color, thin tan head. Sweetish malts and a note of crisp fruitiness in the aroma. Medium sweet, dark malts in the flavor, supported by a fine bitterness, some acidulous fruits, and notes of coffe-beans and mild spices. Rather light-bodied. Short malty ending.

Sampled from a bottle, only 50ml, at EBF 08. Nice body colour – deep, dark red-tinged. Beige layer. Sweet, malty smell with spices coming through. Brown sugar and caramel malts lead the way to a bitter, fruity ending. Soft in the mouth (13.09.2008).
