Sampler at CBF 2011-06-28. Light hazy mahogany with a light brown, creamy film. Dates, dark dried fruits and roasted notes on the nose. Light metallic start. Heavy sweet flavor with plenty of prunes. Medium to full body. Dry, roasted finish. Balanced.

@ Copenhagen festival 2011. (as 0242) The aroma has roast, caramel, liquorice. Dark brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is sweet, has caramel malts, some chocolate and spice. Medium bodied.

From a bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Dark reddish brown, medium beige head. Coffee and choclate aroma, with some rhummy notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Medium dry, medium bitterness.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2011 KØ11 as 242. Mildly roasted aroma, hint of paper. Almost black colour, small light brown head. Good creamy mouthfeel. Mildly roasted flavour also, slight hop bite? Papery aftertaste, but very mild. 7 3 7 3 16

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011 from tap: Pours a dark dark ruby/brown body with a small sidesticking tanned head. Quite nice aroma that is mainly dominated by licorice and dark malts, but there is also some hints of caramel and some peppery-herbs. Medium-bodied, has a slick to sticky mouthfeeling and is softly carbonated. Tastes mild licorice with some dark fruits and hints of chocolate malts perhaps? Absolutely a nice beer from Bøgedal.
