Bottle. Comes as No. 278. A hazy, opaque dark brown beer with a very small beige head. Roasted malty aroma. Notes of licorice, brown sugar. Flavor is sweet roasted malt with a malty bitter finish. Fat carbonation, medium body. Not as simple as these notes sugests. Well balanced.

Tap at Farmer’s Cabinet in Philly. In short, a more aggressive Jolly Pumpkin Madrugada Obscura. Pours near black with a larger, suddy, tan head. Huge lacing. Funky, roasty, sour stout nose. Taste is wildly tangy, super lactic, with massive carbonation. Roasty, tangy, sour stout all the way. Big citrus, lactic finish. Ultra sharp tangerine and grapefruit juice palate. Super lactic. Unreal.

0,75 l. corked bottle as Bøgedal # 0278, 6.9 % abv. Dark brown colour with deep red hues. Dense, tanned head that faded fast. Nice aroma of flower and citrus hops, also milk chocolate. Light sweet taste with bitter cocoa and coffee, also some fruity bitterness. Medium body with a slick texture. Long bitter, roasted finish. Nice - however, for a hefty price.

draft @ redlight redlight Chocolate and coffee aromas on the nose with hints of Brettanomyces. The beer pours a chocolate brown with a thin tan head. Bright and tart upfront with lactic sourness with tart citrus notes, followed by mild coffee and hints of milk chocolate. Very nice!
