2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 KimJohansen (10340) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - APR 1, 2010
Near black with a tiny beige head. Vegy aroma with hard roasted malt, mold and coffee. Sweet flavour with mold, old vegs, coffee and liquerice notes. Such a shame that a bottle of this quality go out for that price. Clearly infected. I wish that the quality control among danish brewers would improve. Would improve quite a lot.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ungstrup (23920) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - APR 1, 2010
Bottled. A very dark deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, wood, soy sauce, roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. Hmmm.
