3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2011
0.75l bottle bottle shared with ClubGonzo and InBreak. Pours a near murky-brown body with a small and sidesticking beige head. The aroma is really inviting with notes of both chocolate and caramel, some berries and nuts. Average to soft carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a light oily mouthfeel. Flavors are really nice! There’s cocoa, sweet caramel malts, it’s nutty and quite low on the bitterness. Lovely finish with hints of butter and caramel and good notes of cocoa in the aftertaste. Damn, I really really liked this!
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ClubGonzo (1966) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2011
Bottle, shared with Palme and Inbreak. Deep hazy nut brown body, medium creamy white head. Nose is currants, deep malty tones, nougat and hints of wet leaves. Taste is caramel, unidentified fruity berry tones, nuts and earthy hop tones. Hints of cellar must and grass. Medium carbonation, pearly mouthfeel. Nice, and well befitting the current autumn weather. Still, I can’t shake the notion that this beer - as so many others from Bøgedal - are ridiculously overpriced. Which kinda ruins the party a bit in my book. A decent beer, nevertheless.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A slightly hazy, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. Peaches and biscuity malts on the nose. The flavor has a nice bitterness and citrus-peel hops on a malty backbone. Medium body, lacking a bit on carbonation. Bitter and fruity finish. A quite nice one, that’s it. 100917

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Pinball (8562) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2010
75cl bottle at home
hazy brown, small bubbly head.
Aroma is malty, caramelly, slightly cellary, also some spices.
flavor is very cellary and or moudly, somewhat spicy, licorice, malts and caramel in the background. I’m not sure how much is a mouldy/celleary flavor , and how much is due to the spices used and perhaps flat hops, but in any case the flavor is not very good as I see it. Drinkable, but not with big pleasure.
