COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a murky opaque brown with a light brown head. Coffeeish aroma - not sure why but coffee sometimes comes out with chili notes to me. Solid body, quite some dark roast, dark dried fruits and a little coffee. Very subtle bitterness. 261111

Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours an unclear, dark, dark brown body and a dense, tan off-white head. Mostly coffee on the nose, dark chocolate and licorice blends in. Roasted flavor with chocolate and lots of coffee. Some licorice. A little bitterness towards the end. Full-bodied, smooth and semi-dry on the palate. Tasteful and pleasant. Could easily drink the whole bottle alone. 111126

18-NOV-2011, bottle @Ulkløbben, @Michael. Brown with lasting brown head. Coffee nose but overall a bit weak. Dubbel-like just creamy’er. Very malty bready and smooth. Just as a Bøgedal is supposed to be. Coffee is obvious and delicious:)

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Almost black, light brown on the edges. Small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma is pleasant black coffee, just the mild peppery spiciness from the fresh coffee beans. Mild roasted, sweet chocolate and a mild citric hoppy touch. Medium carbonation, fine dry and creamy palate. Flavour has good coffee, mild burnt and ashy notes. Light earthy and citric bitter notes. Actually a very well-made stout.
