Bottle, 75cl corked. As 0275 Nytår 2012. It’s an unclear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has cellar, fruityness, oranges and apricot, and a sugary touch known from countless Belgian beers. It’s sweet and fruity on the palate, with a decent bitterness balancing things. Oranges and a faint biscuity maltyness too. Medium body, lacking a bit on carbonation I think. Bitter, orangey finish. Well, not my preferred beer for a big celebration, and far from the best from Bøgedal, but still a fine brew. 130308

Bottle as # 339. Unclear yellow/orange body with a nice off-white head. Aroma is malt dominated with some caramel, citric fruit and slightly spicy. Flavor is smooth malty, more fruity than expected from aroma, slightly caramel and moderate in bitterness. Medium body and OK in aftertaste. A pleasant, well balanced and easy to drink beer.

Bottle at home. Has a very hazy dark orange colour with a big creamy light beige head. A bit faint aroma but there’s a lot of malt, caramel, hops and rye. The flavour is also malty and rich with more caramel and feels a bit sweet, and some grassy hops in the end. Has a rich and soft mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A rich and sweet beer, but a bit faint aroma.
