Black. Caramel nose. Candy sugar taste. Malty sweet. Spicy belgian like yeastiness. Nuttiness in aftertaste.

Tap @ FairBar. Very dark brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is malt, dark fruits, yeast, chocolate, caramel and a little plume. Flavour is malt, chocolate, dark fruits, yeast, plume, medium sweet, hop, caramel and medium bitter.

09-NOV-2012, From Barley Wine, @Ulkløbben Meeting, @my place. Unclear brown with lasting lacing tan head. Very malty, fruity. Not really bitter, more like sweet malty. Tasty but simple. Creamy as usual with Bøgedal. Hoped that hte Brøckhouse part would play a bigger role.

Bottle at the brewery, as 313. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Rich malty aroma with dried fruit and dark sugars. Sweet and rich malt flavour with a slightly roasted note and some dried fruit

Bottle no. 1 of 640. Medium high lasting light brown creamy head. Indeed black body. Disappointingly weak malty dried dark fruit caramel aroma. Roasted malt caramel alcohol dominated plum raisin flavor. Low carbonation. Long sweet roasted malt aftertaste. Sorry matees, the intentions were interesting but the results not impressive. Not worth the high price I paid for this bottle.

Bottle at DØE. Brown colour with a small head. Aroma and flavour of fruit, roasted malt, licorice and chocolate.

75 cl bottle. Pours dark brown wtoh a fully gone head. Aroma is fruity, toasted malty and roasted malty. Smooth toasted malty and light fruity. Bitter, toasted malty and roasted. Bitter and dry malty. Light liqourice note. Ends dry and bitter.

Poursmuddy brown with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has lovely chocolate, plenty of liqourice, estery. Dry and creamy mouthfeel but still kinda light. Fat chocolate flavour, milky, again som liqourice. Sharpish bitter finish that has a bit of bottom-fermentation cleanliness to it. Nice.

From bottle at Ølfestival 2012. Dark brown with a minimal head. Aroma of light roasted malt, toffee and some fruit. The taste was sweet and mostly malty with roasted notes. Some notes of cellar and with a soft mouth feel.
