COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Brewed in honour of a local hero. From the August 17, 2007 North And East Manchester Advertiser:
"A quick-thinking brewery worker has been hailed a hero after abandoning his deliveries to save a nine-year-old girl from drowning. Father-of-three Billy Hall, from Marlow Road, Moston was delivering to the White Lion Hotel in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, when he heard the cries of Jenni-Lea Finch, who had become trapped in a four-foot torrent of water as she paddled in the River Hebden. She had drifted too far down the weir and become scared after getting stuck. Resourceful Billy, 50, ran out of the pub and after grabbing a length of rope from his van, jumped in after her as others looked on helplessly."

Cask. At The Wenlock Arms, London. Slightly hazy gold pour with a small frothy off-white head. Mild, sour aroma, there’s a hint of grain, but also lemon juice and very dry light resin herbal hop bitterness. The taste is also somewhat mild, but quite sour, reminded me a bit of a watered-down lambic - lemony, dry yeast, very dry generic bitterness in the finish, not much malt here at all. Quite light-bodied, essentially no alcohol character, there’s sour acidity aplenty, and a lingering, citrus pith bitter aftertaste. Interesting, took a bit to get into; seemed like a blend of a standard Golden Ale and a light lambic.
