Cask conditioned Handpump Market Porter London. A very dark ruby coloured beer with a slight off-white coloured head. Cococnut and sweet malts in the nose. Lovely sweet nutty flavours in the mouth. More coconut than walnut in my opinion but the nuttiness is lovely and really works. Really good and superbly tasty.

Cask handpull at The Star Huddersfield. After having a beer that reminded me of walnuts in Derby on Thurs nice to have something deliberately infused with that nut today. Very dark mahogany deep ruby with lasting beige head. Well its a porter. Plenty of choc and dark fruits. Am I getting nuts?. Nit entirely no. Very pleasant beer though and it disappeared from my glass quite quickly so i must have liked it.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a very dark brown colour with a decent, light tan head. Aroma of walnuts, coffee and caramel. Walnut and chestnut flavours upfront with caramel and a nice roasty malt linger. Moderate bitterness. Works for me.

A rich and silky porter with a subtle walnut aftertaste. Newcastle Arms 12/11/11
