Bottle that I picked up at Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 10-03-10 Pours dark brown with a hint of red fireglow in there. The aroma is ever so slightly fruity but also with just a touch of a creamy edge. The head is large and off-white. This is nice and tangy in the mouth, its fruity and a little powdery?, touch of chocolate at the back of the mouth. I really enjoyed this and have to conclude it was far better than I was expecting. 3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 reakt (946) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2007
Dark brown with a tan head. Nose of cola, asprin and a hint of sourness. Has an earthy brune flavour with subtle notes of coffee cocoa and fruit. Reminded me of a less complex Goudenband. Oddly thin at first but creamy on the way down. Hmmm?
