(bottle) Clear, copper colour with a fluffy off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly dusty, toast-malty aroma with caramel and a whiff of herbal hops. Sweet, slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a pleasantly smooth mouthfeel. Chewy toast-malty taste with caramel, notes of honey and herbal notes from the beginning. Medium-dry, malty finish with well-embedded herbal hops at the end. Quaffable Bock.

Bottle from Grima, thanks! Brown color. Malty bready aroma. Malty bready sweetish flavor with grassy notes. Toffee. Bready aftertaste. Hint of licorice. Well balanced. Lovely bock.

Koelschtrinker (7050) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2011

Ziemlich gleichförmiger Bock ohne besondere Erlebnisse - trinkbar halt. Test vom 26.2.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Grima (1572) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2011
The beer in the glass is copper brown and clear. The foam will disappear within a few seconds. The Bock smells malty-sweet, soft caramel and roasty, also slightly honey. The beer starts strong malty-caramel and nutty. The aftertaste is malty-roasty, again with caramel and some chocolate. Further, the beer is voluminous malty, almost sweet, but overall very roasted malty. Goes into a very bitter hop finish!

Coppery colored with little yellow head. Rich aroma with toffee and sweetness, some wooden-sugary note here as well. Medium bodied. Flavor is sweet as well, with nutty-toffee, and same wooden grainy note. Aftertaste is sweet still. Interesting, but too sweet.

Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks ! A clear amber-red beer with head that goes quickly. Smell is on caramel and lager kind of. Aroma is very sweet, barley sugar and caramel like, good body but not complex. Fruit presence on oranges and dry grapes, hop character is low, not too much dark notes, but good malty presence.
