There is a definite taste somewhere in this beer, which kicks the butts of other cheap mexican beers. Mild sweetness and in the aftertaste as well. I like it well enough. Smells of citrus, which surprised me. I have had this many times but never really picked up on that as I am usually in mexico while drinking it and drinking to drink. I give this one some bonus points overall due to my history with it but it doesn’t work when drinking it in New England but it is one of my favorites south of the border. As other have said this and Indio come in as my two favorite to drink there. Surrounded by Tecate and Sol it takes the prize. rustychiles (1071), Mesa, Arizona, USA

You really don’t appreciate this beer unless you’re in Mexico, and you’ve had nothing but terrible beer to drink for the last few days.
I asked for a glass, but half way through my carne asada tacos I got thirsty so I peeled back the gold foil label the best I could as not to consume it.
Aroma of malt, some hops. Flavor is slightly sweet and a tad hoppy, rejoice .....hops.
Bohemia, I hereby decree that ye can share the crown title of "The Westy Of Mexico" because you’re among the best they have to offer.
Thanks for saving me from Dos Equis/Tecate/Corona/Pacifico hell.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, yellow body with a frothy, white head. Lightly effervescent.
Smell: Grassy, spicy aroma with pale malts and a slight sourness overall. Thankfully, though, no skunking present.
Taste: What tastes like pils malt with a brief, subtle sweetness. A bit soapy, a bit of grass. Spicy hop taste and light bite of bitterness. Some lingering sourness to the crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Lively carbonation.
Drinkability: When surrounded by Mexican lagers, it would be certainly be more desirable than say, a Corona Light. Surely it would go great with Combo #14, 8, and 12 at your local Mexican eatery. changeup45 (808), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 10, 2008 A solid Mexican beer selection. Wrapped in foil, ala champagne, in a short stocky bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Not much to the appearance, or the aroma, a little grainy I guess. The rest is better though. Very smooth, refreshing and light bodied. Semi sweet with a little more flavor than others of the same category. I must say this goes quite well with Mexican food and they are very easy to drink. chokmah33 (118), San Luis Obispo, California, USA

Flavor has notes of cirtus fruits up front. Hoppy for a mexican.

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 30, 2008 The better of Mexican beer. Light golden in color. Small fizzy head that diminishes quickly. Subtle sweetness upon first taste finishing with a hoppy bitterness. The beer claims to have a hint of vanilla that seems to be lacking. Have another? I think I’ll pass. wacohoover (100), Garland, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Decent beer, better to me than many have already stated. It’s a light looking Lager (Pilz), with a weak head, but with a bit more aroma that usual smelling of hops. Taste is decent, a little bitter, in a good way, but with a smooth finish. Leaves a slight malt feelinf in mouth, but with a bit of an off after flavor that is typical of Mexican beers.
