2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 68aries (5) - USA - MAY 29, 2009 does not count
Not bad for a cheap beer, not bad at all. Not memorable either. Pours and aroma are fine, just when you taste it, you remember how low the price was.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lowe1983 (1226) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Pours a light golden color with a white head. Earth tones with some floral hops on this one. Flavor was the same with more hops coming out than I was expecting. Overall not good, but better than I thought it was going to be.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 boomerbrew (113) - Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2009
Bottle - I guess i was mislead by the name. I was expecting a bohemian pilsner. I did notice some hop taste little to no malts but I do agree that it was unimpressive. Not my lowest rating though.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 alexanderj (2830) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAY 20, 2009
From a bottle. Surprisingly decent beer. Pale gold in color. Flavor was really solid, almost more premium than pale lager. Would drink this over alot of other versions of the style.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JaBier (2999) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAY 2, 2009
Sampled at the pre-Cinco de Mayo tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 5.1.09. Semi-cloudy gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, malt and some citrus. Flavor of lime and a bit of hop. One of the better Mexican lagers.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 30, 2009
330 ml bottle. From Tallinn, Estonia.
Clear golden colour with thin head.
Floral hoppy aroma. Fruity and hoppy flavour. Far from Sols and Coronas. Nice one.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 durhambeer (2028) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 24, 2009
Bottle. Big surprise, this isn’t terrible! Has some flavor. Notably floral hops. Normal Mexican beer flavors (corn, metal, cardboard) are noticeably absent. See no need to add a lime. Decent bitterness, too.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 eczematic (1284) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - APR 20, 2009
bizarre, a sweet yellow lager, cleaner than most: this much I expected; but it seems to be made with Amarillo hops or something outrageously citric. strong orange aroma with some dusty hopsack. tastes like orangina. no bitterness but plenty of citric flavour, and some sweet malt. better than most 3rd world yellow beers for sure but a bit on the lollywater side of things.
