Bohemia stands alongside Dos Equis Ambar and Negra Modelo in the esteemed category of "easy-to-get Mexican macrobrews that don’t suck." No need for self-delusion here, these kinds of beers don’t come close to offering the complexity or execution that craft drinkers crave. Still, these beers have their place. With its smooth malt character and crisp hops, Bohemia is right at home with inexpensive food and a few friends. It’s definitely not impressive, but it’s a solid go-to option when selection is limited.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear, golden color with about two fingers of white foamy head that quickly settles down.
The basic malty and grainy aroma is easily picked up by the nose.
The taste follows the nose. Initially sweet, followed by a balanced body, finishing with a little bitterness.
Nice and drinkable, but nothing special.

bottle. Pale golden with small head. Grassy and light. Refreshingly unskunked, which is about as good as it gets for Mexican beer, IMHO.

Regrettably had to drink from the bottle. At a Mexican restaurant in grapevine tx. Barely any flavor. Good for quenching thirst after some spicy food. That's about it

Best macro Mexican beer I had so far. You actually get a faint taste of hops which is quite refreshing compared to the rest of the crap in Mexico

This is definitely one of the better Mexican beers I have had. Pours a light amber-brown. Taste is clean and refreshing, with some very faint hoppiness. Overall not bad.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, 0.355l. Clear pale amber color with small frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of malt, honey, bread and herbal hops. Tasts of light sweet bready malt with honeyish and citrus notes, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is light bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Pretty decent for pairing classic Mexican dishes...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear straw golden with a fine suspended sediment and a thick foamy eggshell head that settles to a thin film and ring and leaves some light ropes of lace. Nose involves some light noble hop spice, sweet grain, a touch of corn tortilla, and some soft dough. Fairly sweet, fairly bitter, so pretty balanced. Medium bodied, actively carbed, a bit oily, with a clean and crisp finish. Nice brew really, a notch above most Mexican lagers thanks to a nice body and hop presence. Mixed with Jarritos grapefruit soda to make an awesome Mexican radler!
