2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 topherh (1709) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - MAY 5, 2008
Pours a light yellow, little head. A slightly above average macro lager.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 spikester (602) - Salem, Oregon, USA - APR 30, 2008
More flavor than most macros. Nose is not too corny. Fizzy on the palate, not much head, no lacing. Overall a very drinkable brew. Dry bitter/sweet finish.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 ilovedarkbeer (1864) - Abilene, Texas, USA - APR 27, 2008
Pours a light yellow color with a small soapy head. Nose is corn, and some skunky hops. Taste is very very mild, some corn, but mostly water and hardly any bitterness. Pretty bad.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 edden (927) - cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2008
4/5/2008: Bottle. Pale yellow body with a small white head. Moderate lager flavor that is clean and refreshing.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fg8080 (37) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
Really suprised by the flavor, the dos equi just got knocked from my #1 Mexican brew spot
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 mansquito (1607) - washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 21, 2008
Drank it out of the bottle because it seemed right. There is a definite taste somewhere in this beer, which kicks the butts of other cheap mexican beers. Mild sweetness and in the aftertaste as well. I like it well enough.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bungalo22 (326) - Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA - APR 14, 2008
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pours an off yellow and very clear. Smells of citrus, which surprised me. I have had this many times but never really picked up on that as I am usually in mexico while drinking it and drinking to drink. I give this one some bonus points overall due to my history with it but it doesn’t work when drinking it in New England but it is one of my favorites south of the border. As other have said this and Indio come in as my two favorite to drink there. Surrounded by Tecate and Sol it takes the prize.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rusty (1509) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - APR 14, 2008
Bottle, courtesy of Aqui Es Con Flavio’s in Rocky Point Mexico.
You really don’t appreciate this beer unless you’re in Mexico, and you’ve had nothing but terrible beer to drink for the last few days.
I asked for a glass, but half way through my carne asada tacos I got thirsty so I peeled back the gold foil label the best I could as not to consume it.
Aroma of malt, some hops. Flavor is slightly sweet and a tad hoppy, rejoice .....hops.
Bohemia, I hereby decree that ye can share the crown title of "The Westy Of Mexico" because you’re among the best they have to offer.
Thanks for saving me from Dos Equis/Tecate/Corona/Pacifico hell.
