3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated 3/16/13. 12 oz bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass.
A: Pours a lighter straw color with a good bit of translucence to its body. The head is a two finger white shade. Bubbly as can be, it fades away quickly, and doesn’t leave much lacing on the glass, either.
S: Grains and light maltiness, about what I expect from a Mexican lager. Oh, and some noble hops. Gee, imagine that, noble hops in a lager! Whodathunkit? I also notice some tart lemon/lime qualities.
T: The lime tone in the aroma moves down to the tongue, supporting a sweet malt base and faint yet zesty hop bite. Adjunct notes are thankfully kept in check. Simple as can be, but it just works so well with what it has.
M: Light and crisp. Carbonation isn’t overbearing, and it’s superbly drinkable.
O: This isn’t just good for a Mexican lager - it’s a legitimately good beer, period. Merely drinking this makes me think about 78F sunny days laying on the patio without a care in the world. This beer has just given me A) a go-to in Mexican restaurants, B) something to buy for non-beer-drinking guests when hosting a party, and C) something to actually enjoy besides margaritas should I ever end up vacationing in Cabo San Lucas.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from local Yamaya. Light grass, some sweetness in the nose. Clear pale straw. A thin sweetness in the initial / goes a little chemical and cardboardy in mid / finishes grassy, and with more than the usual lager bitterness. Fairly normal macro stuff. But it has more maltiness and body than most US stuff. Drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured a clear, pale golden amber colour with virtually no head and no lace to speak of. Low carbonation (ie flat). Aroma lightly of malt. Taste faintly of malt and even more faintly of hops bitterness. Light body. Soft smooth finish.

12oz bottle. Pours pale straw, fizzy, little head retention. Aroma of stale cereal grains, corn, a hint of sweetness
Taste starts out with some sweetness and ends with grainy bread malt flavors.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a cloudy yellow with a thick white head, nice carbonation. Aroma is mostly yeast/grain and some hops (faint but they are there). Flavor is sweet of yeast and malts and a "touch" of hops. Actually a bit surprised by this beer, not bad, quite refreshing; granted is not extraordinary but it is not bad, probably the best out of all mainstream Mexican beer I have tried so far.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. Pours golden, short fizzy white head, quickly diminishes to nothing. nose is sweet slightly oxidized, slightly brothy. mouth is crisp sweet brothy malt as well as slightly sulphured out, dry finish. overall not a bad mexi-brew, would take it over many in the category.

It’s ok. One of the better Mexican beers but not a whole lotta flavor. drinking it out of a glass from a bottle. Light color with some head.
