I love this mexican beer! When I first had it, the six pack that I purchased was so old that there were actual chunks of things in the bottom of each bottle. Later, I drank this outdoors in open-air bar patios in Tijuana at fifty cents a pop. Way fresher and way more appropriate. Some beers you just imprint with fond memories even if they may be mediocre on their own.

A beer that goes great with the food from its native country. This beer does not offer anything more than a food pairing. Grassy and slightly acidic. Very well balanced, with some nice malty notes. Nothing special though.

Smells grassy - not pure, though something resembling a hop miught have snuck in there. Sppearance was of light straw, with a pitiful fizziness. However, the taste was more substantial than expected - though the beer wasn’t that distinct from liquid corn tortillas. Goes down smoothly with nothing unpleasant or interesting in the mouthfeel.

Horrible yellow color, very clear with no head. Aroma of corn. The good thing about this is that the body is much more malty than american standards. Still, it’s just another beer to wash down hot mexican food with.

Better than many from these parts. favorite way I’ve ever had it was on train to Mexico City - train stopped - little boy with bucket of iced down beer jumped on - 50 centavos, which at the time was nothing. Damn good deal.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a pale yellow color with a minimal white head. The scent was sour and malty. The flavor bursts on the tongue a bit with a spicy, malty tang. The finish is sour. Not a good beer by any means, but I liked it better than most Mexican beers I have had and I did not end up pouring this one down the drain.

This is just another of the bad beers from Mexico. Great food, lousy beer.

had this one with some mexican food over the weekend. had it out of the bottle but have had it before in a glass, typical look golden clear with white head and packed full of CO2. the nose resembled really nothing. tasted of slight malt and bittering hops. very watery and good to cut down the sting of spicy foods. i prefer negro modelo, but they all are about the same. ariba!
