Decent lager, one of a hand full of meskin beers I buy now and again. Actually has some character.

Ordered Negra Modelo at a mexican restaurant but they brought this instead. Instead of complaining, I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised by a decent pilsner with a lightly malty body and a pleasant hop finish. Herold Svelte it is not, but it will do.

Wouldn’t call it world class, but wouldn’t say it’s typical Mexipiss, either. At least I saved money by not using my limes. Heartier than most south-of-the-border stuff, and mellows nicely, with a subtle tang.

being of czech ancestry i was preparing to scoff at this beer but it wasn’t as bad as i expected. still nothing like what you find in bohemia

If you cannot get Negra Modelo or Dos Equis Special Lager, this is a good choice. Goes well with the typical spicy mexican cuisine.

Mild pilsener with generic hops. Not bad for washing down a spicy Mexican dish. Probably one of the better middle-of-the-road Mexican lagers.
